What are the consequences of war?
As we continue to learn about the causes of WWII, I would like for you to be thinking about the after effect. the impact that war has on a people can have lasting effects for many years to come.
We have established that one of the effects of WWI was the rise of totalitarian governments. We have also discussed the effectiveness of the different forms of governments in establishing order, providing security and accomplishing common goals prior to and after war.
As we continue to dig into the war just a bit, I want you to think about and answer the following question.
If Japan would not have bombed Pearl Harbor, would the United States have gotten involved in WWII considering the feelings of isolationism and appeasement in the U.S. at that time?
